MTH for sustainability

For MTH, sustainability is a competitive asset.

It is a model that integrates innovation, responsibility, and long-term vision, guiding every technological and industrial decision.

We don’t just set goals: we turn them into concrete, measurable actions that can generate real impact. From clean energy production to the use of recycled materials, from low-impact refrigerant gases to the development of solutions designed to reduce energy consumption: every choice contributes to building a more sustainable future for our industry.

Our commitment to the 2030 Agenda

MTH contributes in a concrete way to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda.
Our actions have a direct impact on several key SDGs — 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, and 13 — through an industrial strategy that combines innovation, responsibility, and long-term vision.

2 – Zero hunger

End hunger and ensure food security and improved nutrition through sustainable conservation systems

3 – Good Health And Well-Being

MTH ensures the health and well-being of its employees, customers, and external stakeholders

5 – Gender Equality

Promoting gender equality internally and externally through policy development and corporate governance has always been a primary goal for MTH.

7 – Affordable And Clean Energy

MTH generates clean energy through photovoltaic systems, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and contributing to the decarbonization of the sector.

8 – Work And Economic Growth

Training, safety, and skills development guide our social model.

9 – Business Innovation And Infrastructure

We invest in high-efficiency technologies, natural gases such as R290, advanced materials, and process digitization, with a particular focus on cybersecurity

11 – Sustainable Cities And Communities

Local roots are a value for MTH: local production, local supply chains, and community support.

12 – Responsible Consumption And Production

Our circular production model reduces waste, recovers materials, and uses components with a lower impact.

13 – Climate Change

We reduce emissions through renewable energy, natural refrigerants, and solutions that improve customer efficiency.

ESG

Environmental

Our environmental strategy is based on concrete and measurable choices, with the aim of reducing consumption, emissions, and waste throughout the entire production chain.

Clean energy production

We have installed photovoltaic systems that power three of our four Italian production plants, contributing to the reduction of the environmental impact of industrial activities.

Related KPIs:

300,000+ kWh of energy generated each year by photovoltaic systems

125.000+ kg of CO₂ avoided each year

Use of natural refrigerant gases

For our refrigeration systems, we use natural gases such as R290 and R600a, which are environmentally friendly refrigerants with a GWP (Global Warming Potential) close to zero.

Related KPIs:

100% of monoblocks and complete systems in the range powered by R290 refrigerant gas

Use of eco-friendly insulation

We use sustainable polyurethane foam, free of HFC blowing agents, in the production of thermally insulated doors and cell panels.

Related KPIs:

70.000 kg of sustainable polyurethane foam used each year

Material recovery and circular production

We recover and recycle non-compliant plastics, reducing waste and promoting a circular production model that enhances the value of materials throughout the supply chain.

Related KPIs:

~98% of non-compliant plastics recovered and recycled

Governance

MTH’s governance is based on integrity, accountability, and structured control processes, supporting transparent and sustainable management in the long term.

Cybersecurity and data protection

We constantly invest to ensure the integrity of our corporate information systems and the security of customer, supplier, and stakeholder data, in compliance with current regulations.

KPI:

100% of digitized strategic projects protected by advanced security systems and compliant with the GDPR

Integrity, control, and compliance

Rigorous quality standards, structured control procedures, and an ethical approach guide every industrial and management decision.

KPI:

Adoption and maintenance of management systems compliant with international standards and certifications (ISO and relevant regulations)

Diversity in governance bodies

We promote balanced and representative governance, capable of enhancing diversity in corporate decision-making processes.

KPI:

25% of women on the Board of Directors
